Inspector Selection Process - External

Position Summary:

  • Working as part of progressive policing organization the Inspector will form part of the KRPF Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the Chief of Police, an Inspector at KRPF leads, plans, organizes, directs, evaluates, and oversees activities related to police operations and administration.  These activities will include and are not necessarily restricted to management of human and financial resources, police operations, and various administrative functions.

Education:

  • Proof of graduation from a recognized police academy
  • University degree(s) or courses in related fields of study will be considered assets
  • Evidence of in-service police training commensurate with someone with 15-plus years of varied policing experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15-years of varied policing experience

Language:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Ability to communicate in French will be considered an asset

Work Requirements:                     

  • Priority may be given to internal candidates who meet the requirements of the position
  • As this is an executive level position, availability after hours (“on-call”) and working hours beyond normally scheduled hours can be expected based upon operational and organizational needs
